Sparrow Hawk Photography is proud to lead workshops and photo tours that offer participants the opportunity to experience some of the most beautiful locations and amazing wildlife Colorado has to offer.
Whether you are a beginning photographer who needs assistance with camera skills and composition or an experienced photographer who just wants to be led to great locations, these workshops are for you! These 2-day workshops are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday so that busy individuals need not take time off of work to attend.
Whether you shoot digital or film there will be something for you. While I now shoot digitially and expect most participants to be shooting with digital camers, I shot on film for 32 years before switching to digital and film shooters are more than welcome.
Transportation to and from the workshop is the responsibility of each participant; transportation to shooting locations during the workshop is included. Lodging during the Mt. Evans, Rocky Mountain National Park and Maroon Bells workshops is provided (Friday-Saturday nights); lodging during all other workshops is the responsibility of each participant but I will be happy to suggest locations for lodging at reasonable rates. We will eat lunch and possibly dinner on Saturday night as a group; the cost of meals is the responsibility of each participant.
There will be a certain amount of walking and moderate hiking, so participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing, including appropriate footwear. Since this is Colorado, where the weather can be unpredictable and change on a moment's notice, be prepared for temperature extremes.
50% deposit due at time of registration, the remainder is due 45 days prior to the workshop. Your deposit is fully refundable if cancelation is requested in writing (email is sufficient) more than 45 days prior to the workshop. Within 45 days of the workshop, the fee is refundable ONLY if I am able to fill your space with another participant.
Private, one-on-one lessons are also available. I am happy to provide individual instruction on a wide array of photographic techniques, from camera skills to composition and the digital darkroom. You can travel to my location or I can travel to you.
